It had been a while since Cameron had been in contact with anyone back home. Not in the mood to go running in this heat, he stuck to his bed and decided to write an old fashioned letter.

On his way out for a morning run, Cameron had checked his mailbox only to doa 180 and run right back up the stairs, a letter from the Air Force Academy in hand. He moved towards his desk as he tored open the enveloppe and grinned like a fool as he pulled out the Precandidate Questionnaire.

( Grabbing the telephone, he dialed Ferguson's number as he plopped down in his desk chair )

Cameron could hear the telephone ringing down the hall as he made it back from detention. It's only when he got closer to the room that he realised it was his (or Kawalsky's). A moment of panicked looking for his keys and then he was inside and making a dash for the telephone, hoping that whoever was calling wouldn't hang up in the last second.
