Merlin threw his pencil down and stared at the letter. He was surrounded by darkness, except for the dim light of the computer sitting in front of him on the desk.
All of these words mean nothing. They make no sense, and Merlin could not sort out his thoughts enough to form perfect sentences.
A stupid letter will never bring Arthur back to Merlin. Not now, at least.
Oh, this is so silly. A letter? Merlin crumpled the piece of paper and tossed it behind him, laying his head down to think. Why did he have to act on his love for Arthur in that way? What even drove him to have the confidence?
