After everyone had left, Merlin turned around to find Gwen still sitting on the sofa. “Gwen, what’s up?”
She was frowning. “I don’t feel like I’ll be helpful. I mean, all I can do is watch the news and talk to people.”
“Gwen, don’t count yourself out. That’s pretty much all any of us can do at this point. Besides, you’re valuable in other ways. Think of what Arthur will feel when he sees you, alive and well. I know that wherever he is, he still loves you.”
“I didn’t think of that.”
Merlin reached out and gave her a side hug. “Gwen, you are as worthy as any of us to be in this group. We will find him and you will have a fabulous reunion. Feel better?”
“Yeah. Thanks, Merlin.”
“My pleasure. Have a safe drive home.”
