“So Morgana Lafay, are you looking forward to coming home?” Merlin grinned at her.
“No. I was living my life and rather happy about being out from Uther’s thumb when Arthur’s man found me.” Morgana looked out the window. “Now I'm back here and I'm already miserable.”
“Hmm. I see.” Merlin glanced over at her. “Anything I can do to make it better?”
Morgana turned and looked him up and down. “I'll give it a think. You aren't seeing anyone, are you?”
“No but I wouldn't mind seeing you naked.” Merlin smiled at her pink cheeks. “Something I said?”
Morgana laughed. “Cheeky.”
Merlin gave her a serious look. “Morgana, I'm going to give you a bit of advice. A long time ago I had an epiphany. I realized that I can't hide from myself. I am who I am. Nothing I do can change that. I may pretend to be someone different but that's just a lie. Be yourself, Morgana, no matter who it pisses off.”
“Thanks Merlin.” Morgana sighed. She raised her hand and a fire ball appeared. “I just have to remember to keep my temper in control.” She closed her hand to put out the fireball.
“Do what I do.” Merlin glanced at her as he turned onto the main road. “Use those fireballs to start the fire in the hearth in your room. It helps to picture who you're angry with.”
“I’ll try. Thanks Merlin.” Morgana smiled. “You're still a cheeky one.”
Merlin laughed.
