"Hear ye! Hear ye!
There are glad tidings that the Queen has been delivered of a healthy boychild. Camelot has an heir to the throne!
Sadly, Queen Ygraine died in her childbed. A full year of national mourning is to be observed.
Dark sorcery caused our beloved Queen's untimely death. It is therefore King Uther's decree that all practice of magic is hereby and forever more banned in Camelot, on pain of instant death. Wherever they hide or whenever they are discovered, sorcerers will not be allowed to live.
Such is the King's will and the law of the land!"
