“Hey, have you got your costume ordered for Arthur and Gwen’s party?” Morgana asked.
“Yes. I’ll be going as a mighty, but humble wizard. No white beard for me,” Merlin replied.
“So you’ll be going as yourself, essentially.”
“Yes, but without the magic, obviously.” Merlin paused. There was something strange in the air for a moment. He looked at Morgana-she’d felt it too. He shook his head and it vanished. “So what are you going as?”
“Isn’t it obvious? I’ll be going as the evilest sorceress in the land.”
“And you poked fun at me for going as myself.” There was that strange feeling in the air again, but it vanished as suddenly as it had appeared. “That was weird.”
“Yeah.” She shrugged. “Weird.”
They both shook their heads. Merlin said, “So it will be good versus evil. I like that. This will really add spice to the party.”
“Yeah it will.” She grinned evilly. “Come here, my mighty wizard. I want to corrupt you.”
“For you, I go willingly.”
He darted over to her, swept her into his arms, and pressed their lips together. When they broke apart, she led him into the bedroom and closed the door behind them.
