Clueless in Camelot
"Merlin, my friend. Join me at the tavern tonight. Let's paint the town red."
"What's the occasion?"
"Do we need one?"
"Perhaps not."
"If we do, I suppose drowning our sorrows will do."
"Are you sad, Gwaine? What happened?"
"Oh nothing, nothing. You know me. Not a care in the world. But I thought you might be feeling down-"
"What? No! I'm good."
"You've got a heartache."
"I'm just knackered. Arthur's making me run around from dawn till dusk and beyond, and never a thank you-"
"You're in love, Merlin. It's so obvious, a fool can see it. Unfortunately, Arthur's worse than a fool. He still has no idea, I'm afraid."
"Nonsense. You must be drunk already, Gwaine."
"You tell yourself that, friend. But I know the truth. I see your pain because... I feel something similar."
"You're in love with Arthur?"
"Well, that would be a twist, wouldn't it? No, absolutely not. You can have the Princess and his tantrums entirely to yourself."
"But you're in love with someone else who is worse than a fool?"
"It seems so."
"Who?"
"Come with me to the tavern and I might just get drunk enough to spill the beans. You never know."
