"You seem thoughtful, Merlin. Anything specific on your mind?"
"I'm thinking about Prince Arthur."
"Ah."
"Not like that, Gaius! It's just, I encountered him in the market square, and he was a horrid prat. Hamming it up for his men. Treating me like a bumpkin. Chasing poor Morris around for laughs. How can someone be so completely annoying, and yet so courageous and protective of others when it really counts?"
"Maybe you should get to know the prince better to find out."
"How would I do that?"
"I'll think about it. Just don't use your shapeshifting magic around him. I don't want to have to explain your execution to your poor mother."
"Of course not, Gaius. I wouldn't. I'm always careful. Don't worry."
