“So Morgana-how did your date with Merlin go?” Gwen asked.
“Oh, it was nice,” Morgana replied.
“Just nice? That’s it?”
“You know me, Gwen, I don’t kiss and tell.”
“You kissed him? Hey everyone! Morgana and Merlin kissed!”
“Wait! I never said I kissed him. It’s a figure of speech.” But it was too late. Everyone’s heads turned toward Morgana and Gwen.
Morgana put her face in her hands. “Gwen! This was supposed to be a private conversation.”
Gwen cackled. “Too late. Now everyone knows.”
“Thanks. It might be okay if it was true.”
“Wait, you didn’t kiss?”
“No Gwen. We barely held hands. We were both too nervous.”
“You, nervous?”
“Gwen, I really like him.”
“Aww. I’m sorry I broadcasted to the whole hall.” She raised her voice. “Go on about your business, people! Nothing to see here.”
“Thanks.”
“I’ve got your back, Morgana.”
