Putting Out Fires

"Your inane smile tries to reassure me that everything's fine, Merlin, but your body language practically screams 'disaster!' What has happened?"

"Nothing, absolutely nothing. Everything's just fine and dandy."

"Seriously, Merlin, don't- "

"Well, your horse has run away, but I'm sure-"

"What? What made a battle-trained stallion flee?"

"He ran to get away from the fire, you see, and-"

"There's been a fire?"

"Well, yes, but only a very small one. The stores of hay-"

"This is terrible! What started the fire?"

"Ehm..."

"Was it some sort of dark sorcery?"

"Oh no, no, it was just, uhm, a lamp that, uh-"

"Merlin, you're such a poor liar sometimes. It was Aithusa, wasn't it?"

".....yes. She's just breathing very tiny flames, but-"

"This won't do. We can't risk a conflagration in Camelot."

"But she's so small! She needs us. I can't send her away! Please, Arthur."

"Who said anything about sending her away? Take her down to Kilgharrah's cavern to practice her fire-breathing. She can't set anything ablaze down there."

"Oh."

"Oh, what?"

"That's a great idea, actually."

"I do have some problem-solving skills, you know. If not, you and your mischievous baby dragon would long since have reduced Camelot to rubble."
