Morgana caught Merlin staring into her eyes. “What are you doing?”
“I just love the color of your eyes. A sparkling emerald, I think,” he replied.
“Hmm. I’ve always thought they were closer to jade.”
“I can see where you’d think that,” Merlin mused, “but to me they’ll always be emerald. Especially when you wear green. I love you in green.”
“Does that mean you don’t love me if I don’t wear green?”
“Of course not. I love you in every color, but especially green.”
“That will do.” Morgana grinned. And she sealed her proclamation with a long, sweet kiss.
