Merlin and Morgana lay entwined on the grass in the meadow. It was midnight, and the stars were out in full force. Merlin stroked Morgana’s skin while Morgana gazed up at the sky.
“Do you ever wonder about the stars?” She asked him.
“Mm, what about them?”
“How far away are they? What are they made of? Whether they have any effect on our magic.”
“You’re curious tonight.”
“I wonder about these things sometimes. We women don’t have training or quests to go on, you know.”
He caressed her face. “I know. And I do wonder about the stars. But right now, I wonder about you.”
She smiled. “You are absolutely wonderful; do you know that?”
“This is why I love you.”
“And I love you.” She pulled his lips to hers and they forgot about the stars for a long while.
