Morgana had had a very long day at work. After dropping her bag in the living room, she walked into the bathroom to start the tap on the tub. Once the water was running hot, she poured a bubble solution in then hurried to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of wine. Next, she returned to the bathroom and stripped, dropping her clothes on the floor like she didn’t care. And she didn’t.
As she settled herself into the tub filled with bubbly goodness, she reached for her wine and took a hearty sip. She deserved this time to herself, she really did. Nothing, not even her phone, was going to stop her now. It had been a good idea to leave it in her bag.
Her wineglass was empty and the heat was just beginning to wear down when Merlin arrived home. She heard him call her name. “In the bathroom,” she called out.
He appeared in the doorway and took in the scene. “Long day, I take it?” he asked.
Morgana nodded. “Morgause is an absolute slave driver. I can’t remember why I ever agreed to work for her.”
“Because it’s your dream job and she asked you very nicely.”
Merlin noticed that the bubbles weren’t covering her anymore. “Let’s not talk about work,” he said, coming to the edge of the tub.
“I agree.” She grabbed his tie and pulled him close enough to kiss longingly. “Join me?”
“Of course.” He stripped down and slid into the tub behind her. He slid his hands over his favorite parts of her body. She hummed in response. “I can think of better ways to relax,” he said.
She turned to face him. “Do tell.”
“I’d rather show you.” He took her face into his hands and lavished her with kisses, which grew progressively more and more passionate.
If both of their phones rang, neither noticed for a very long time.
