Arthur was walking towards the football pitch when he noticed Merlin sitting on a bench under one of the secular oak that filled the University campus.
The training was meant to start before minutes, so Arthur jogged to his friend for a little catch-up.
As he approached he noticed Merlin was on his phone, talking animatedly. Afew more strides and he could hear what Merlin was saying.
“But Gwen! It was simply horrible! Mum had to take a nap and she went to the Murphy bed…. Yeah, I know but Dad couldn’t upgrade it… and then it fell on her! She died, like that!”
Arthur froze. Merlin’s Mum had died?
“Yeah, Dad was crying all the time after that… And when you think it can’t get worse, Sefa was left alone too long and she was so hungry the social services took her!”
Sefa was Merlin’s little sister. She was way younger than him and he loved her very much. How could he talk about her being taken away from her family?
“Then, of course, Dad died of sadness… It was a complete failure, Gwen!! How am I telling my followers that I screwed everything up like that?
Arthur was completely lost…Nothing made sense!
“Merlin!” he called “Are you okay?”
“Arthur?”
Merlin finally saw his friend.
“Gwen? I’ll call back later ok?”
He hung up.
“Arthur!” He said with a large smile.
“Merlin? Are you sure you are okay? I’ve heard you talk to Gwen about your family and…”
And Merlin burst out laughing.
It was probably the shock speaking…
“You… You thought it was true?” Merlin asked in between fits of laughter.
“What do you mean?”
“I… I was telling Gwen about my Sims Legacy Challenge, idiot!”
“Sims Legacy Challenge?”
“I’ll explain…”
