good music, good friends
Today was a pretty good day, despite the fact that I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night. *sigh* But i shall sleep as long as i please tomorrow morning, so all will be well. All 3 of my ensembles (French Horn Revolution, Horn Mafia, and Woodwind Quintet - horns are more creative than woodwinds, what can i say) got Superior ratings at district solo/small ensemble contest, and my solo also got a Superior! And my mom took Gwyn & myself out to lunch at Old Chicago, and i got a funky skirt at the Salvation Army thrift store! Then tonight, i got to hang out with "the group" and that was wonderful, too. All in all, it's been a worthwhile day.
I hope tomorrow is good, too, and is not too filled with scholarship applications. I don't think it will be. I'm going to get my ears pierced! *smiles as gasps of astonishment rise from the audience* No, i've never had them pierced, i've either been too much of a wimp (when i was very small), or too lazy (when i was still small, but in high school), but i'm going with a friend of mine so i don't think either of those will be a factor. If anyone has any advice... not that i think i really need it, but it'd be entertaining to see what people would come up with, if anyone actually reads this anyhow...
