Played a lot of Rock Band this last weekend. Since I've played so much recently the disc was compromised, and so we're exchanging it because it's only been 30 days. The reason I mentioned my playing time is that I've gotten so comfortable with the guitar parts on hard that I spend time chatting, or being goofy or trying to help others while playing...
I've spend a good deal of time rocking out in positions that aren't standing on my feet. I now have a tendency to play next to someone. I often try to work with the singer, drummer or bassist. When they're too engrossed or far away then I'm kneeling and really playing with spirit. There was one point where I was rolling on the floor playing. My scores suffer a little while doing this, but people are entertained with the sillyness. Then there was one time with Lil'Guy on drums. My Tambourine notes matched his snare notes, and so I was whacking the mic on the red drum pad as Lil'Guy continued to play all his other notes.
Halloween is going to be freaking awesome!
I thought I would share a couple of pictures.
Richard and I fell asleep on the couch listening to Stephanie and Stacia. We were both pretty tired I guess, and less involved in the conversations. Considering Richard and I have known each other since 5th grade, it's kind of nostalgic in a way. The photo brings about som sentiment for me.
I LOVE this photo. I look good in that shirt. I'm rocking out on my knees having a great time (obviously). I can't believe I actually did this, and that someone captured it on camera. Now if only it were a real guitar...
