Up to Today Update
Posting quickly while I’m here at work and waiting to do the mail I need to send out for the day.
Moving:
Stephanie and I kicked out Andrew two weekends ago. We needed to downsize to a different apartment since Andrew quit his job and has yet to be hired at a new job. To spare his expenses and avoid surprises, we went about getting our apartment rented. Andrew made that as difficult as possible by keeping his room dark, unkempt, and smelly. This caused us to kick him out being sure that we could get the apartment rented more quickly. Our unit was rented twice within a couple of days. Andrew did other things to allow our trust in him deteriorate, but those I do not need to make mention of.
We now live in 1607, especially note 16 being what floor we’re on. We have an amazing view AND a balcony. Essentially by switching apartments we traded our Space Needle view for a view of Alki and Elliot Bay. We’re now going about paying debts and purchasing furniture.
Rock Band:
The day Rock Band 2 came out we purchased it. The song list is fantastic, a lot of really good songs and a good mix of Rock genres. I’m working on my characters and opening the rest of the 84 on disc songs (we can download another 20 free of charge). We will have a Rock Band 2 party once the new drum kit comes out, and I’ve finished unlocking songs. I have two new characters- Those of which are from a movie that was showing this Summer. I don’t think the event will take place until mid-late October, because the drum kit doesn’t come out until mid-October and the fact I don’t have time to play religiously. It might just be combined with Halloween, because on Halloween that’s probably what we’ll end up doing at some point. Maybe there won’t be an official party, it might just be as people come up there’s changes. Stephanie also starts school this week, and so I would hate for the event to interfere with her study schedule.
Glacier:
Still working. There was the opportunity for a different position, but that fell through because the person ultimately decided to stay with the company, so I didn’t get to leave. The project should be ending here at month’s end.
Jon:
I figured out why he’s crazy (or at least seems to be to sane people). Jon wants to invent something new, or be an entrepreneur. It’s not necessarily all of the drugs that the man has abused, but a mix of pride, creativity, and disenchantment with working for a person or corporation. Understanding this I can more easily explain his oddities to people without blaming it on drugs entirely. Chris was the first to see though the smoke (no pun intended), but Chris has a similar mindset to that of Jon (and that’s not just simply drug related, either). It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes him to find success.
