How to make millions in a rough economy
When reports that Megan Fox would not be a part of the cast for Transformers 3 surfaced, some fans (Ctrl + F "can't act") rejoiced, hoping Michael Bay would go with substance over style and place a legitimate actress in the role.
Unfortunately, they were hoping Michael Bay would go with substance over style. So now he's replacing a relatively inexperienced actress he hired because she's hot with someone who's hot whom he hopes can sort of act: Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
Huntington-Whitely has never had an acting job.
Here's a particularly poignant exchange in the comments section of techland's story about the casting decision:
Commenter "Church": "[Huntington-Whitely is] pretty enough, but does she have any real acting chops? I mean, can she wash a car in a bikini?"
Commenter "Allie Townsend": "I heard that she can even read cue cards while washing a car in a bikini."
NOTE: Techland's claim that Fox came into Transformers with no acting experience is untrue.
