I was old enough to be a NKOTB fan, but somehow they bypassed me--especially their Christmas album. My parents only listened to oldies radio, so perhaps it was a blessing. How does this go on for five minutes?

Usually I put out my Christmas card call, but it's on hold this year--Canada Post is striking. The labour action has been going on since November 15th.

If you want to hold off sending me something, I totally understand, since I don't know when I'll receive it!

I'll put out a call for cards when the strike is over.

I didn't do a lot of Christmas cards last year, unfortunately, due to my health challenges, but I did doodle this quickly to give to my budgie helper :-) I'd like to make it into a larger, more polished image someday.

Some books and movies are so commonplace or cemented in culture that sometimes we skip over them because we think we know the story. I bought Mom and I a Lumos neck light for Christmas. I was going to buy a cheaper one, the Lizard Light, but a lot of reviews complained about the battery life. Since I was sick in November, the bases and paper I cut up for Christmas cards became New Year's cards :D

No one will receive a Valentine's this year, LOL.

I discovered that LJ's community has a back-up community on DW.

I'm going to try and crosspost when I remember.
