Now, what do I write?
Guess this is why I haven't been on here in so long - Same Old Shit just ain't really worth posting about. But, it's august, and the end of this summer is almost in sight, at last. It's been a long one, god, has it been long, but the good moments have been all the more treasured for it. Working at Asylum in May was awesome, and I can't wait for October, when we'll be doing it all over again. If any of you out there ever have the opportunity to volunteer at a con, DO IT! It really is amazing!
Right now, I'm ploughing merrily through *gasp* the last few chapters of Watching Shadows Fall - the third story in the House of Cards series. The one I started almost two years ago. *facepalms* And for the first time in a while, I've got time to write a fic that's purely for me, and really relish it. I never stop enjoying writing, but there are times when it feels a little like someone's holding my nose to the grindstone and it seems like a long time since I was playing in a verse all my own making. (Actually, that's coming up on close to a year too, since I finished 1835. Wow.)
Somehow, the more RL intrudes, the more I just want to hide away and write, which is maybe not the healthiest solution but it's about the only one I've got at the moment, so hey. Could be a hell of a lot worse, I guess!
Anyhoo.
Back to the keyboard, 'fore anyone starts cracking the whip. *g*
