Recced because: I must admit that while I very much enjoyed her series, I am not Rose Tyler's greatest fan. But sometimes a fic comes along that highlights the greatest pieces of her character and most of all her growth. This is that fic, and it is absolutely wonderful.
First of all, I have to note the gorgeous structure. You'll understand better when you read it (and you really should read it), but its division into elements of learning fits perfectly with the story--the physical structure truly adds to the fic instead of just containing it. On to the fic itself: all I can say is that there were just so many moments when I found myself thinking "Yes, exactly!" and understanding Rose's character far more clearly than I had before. I would honestly recommend this to anyone remotely familiar with these characters--it's an utterly fantastic, beautiful, and fascinating read!
