Dragon Con Saturday Report
Saturday of course is the day of the big parade at Dragon Con.
We got a really got spot at the Marriott and ended up
standing bascially in the street. I'm only going to post a few
pix of the parade as I took so many and I am not going to post
all of those! You can see more on my facebook account though.
When we finally got back to the walk of fame, we found out that
Michael would not be signing until 1pm. So, we wandered into other
areas to see who we could find. Please forgive me if I don't get the
order of the celeb I went to in order. I honestly can't remember at this
point for sure.. I did stand in line with my friend Misty while she got
Dean Stockwell and Scott Bakula's autograph's (Quantum Leap) I did not buy one from
Scott Bakula as he was charging 75 per picture.. Not worth that much sorry!
I did get a very nice smile from Scott my way as I stood up there with her.
That was worth it!
Now, don't get me wrong. I really love Dean Stockwell, but he was smoking a
cigar...wtf??? Inside the hotel?? They were allowing him to smoke when it's now
a law that you cannot do so inside public places.... That was just not cool...
Pardon me if I protest too much but I do have asthma.....
Anyway, I think the next person I ended up going to was Robert Beltran -Chakotay
on Star Trek Voyager. I was actually helping Misty put something back in her backpack
before we went up to him and I struggled with it! Garret Wang -Harry Kim on Voyager
was sitting right beside Robert and had no one with him at the time and he was just watching
us and laughing at us. That made my cheeks turn pink!
I asked Robert when I went up to him if he spoke Spanish cause I honestly wasn't sure if
he did or not. He said yes and I asked him in spanish if he could put something in spanish
on the picture he was going to sign. I also stumbled over asking him if we could take a picture
(my spanish goes out the window when I'm nervous) He kindly obliged and I got my pic with him
and an autograph!
You can see where he started the autograph, didn't like the pen, and began
again.
I ran into my friend Kaung and his girlfriend Lauren! Horrible picture of me!
We found William B. Davis (Cancerman from the X-files) next.
After my chris photoshoot on friday as we were walking back downstairs I walked by him and thought
that's cancerman! He was standing there talking to a fan. I started down the stairs then
stopped and said to hubby let's go back up there, take a look around and tell me what u see!
we did so and after I got another look at Mr. Davis I was like, that isn't him! But hubby
was like yeah! I saw him it's him! I almost didn't recognize him. I think he's lost some
weight is why.. definately funny though I almost passed right on by him that day in the hall...
I just love him! He was dressed in a suit everyday I saw him
at the con and he constantly had this pleasant smile on his face.
So unlike his villianous character on the X-Files. I told my hubby,
I'm going home with a picture of Cancerman smiling happily at nothing
in particular stuck in my head for all time! I do wonder why he dressed in the suit
like his character does all the time? Maybe for the con so people would recognize him?
Or simply just because that's how he dresses in real life? It was so funny.
Corin Nemec was finally at his table.
I got an autograph and a picture with him. He was so friendly and
nice! I even got a big huge after the picture! I also told him I had
been waiting forever to meet him and that I'd had a crush on him since I was
16! apparently, when I was climbing back out from behind the table Corin
winked at my husband cause he told me about it later...LOL!!!
Now we get to Michael Lol!
I actually because of the person directing the lines ended up at
Lexa's table first and because I was following behind Misty who was
also getting Lexa's autograph. I told her that I was following her on
twitter but I didn't really ever talk because I couldn't come up with
anything original to say. She said "Oh me too!" LOL. I said I wrote something
when you posted about your fish and then realized everyone else had said the same thing.
She told me that they were having no luck with fish and that she'd lost another one.
She complimented my necklace, finished signing my picture and I said thank you and shook
her hand.
Funny thing was as we were waiting in line for Michael beside her several things
happened. Lexa started playing with her phone as there weren't many people in her line.
Misty asked her if she was posting on twitter. I also feeling bad she seemed bored asked her
about the tatoo on her shoulder and if it had hurt. SHe said she got it 3 years ago and that
the man lied to her when he said it wouldn't be painful. She said the lines weren't but the coloring
was.
A few minutes later she was looking at one of the pictures in Michael's autograph selections and
was like "What's this one from?" Michael was like "Honey, I can't multi-task. You know this."
He finally looked at the picture and said "that's from Burn Notice, you'd know if you watched the
show, honey."
LOL!
When I got to Michael, I had it all planned how I would say he was wearing the same shirt
as last saturday to indicate I was at chicago con but darned if I didn't get to him and he
immediately said hello again! I have no idea how he remembered me but that was cool!
I then did say something about the shirt to which he replied that he had never changed!
funny. I got him to sign my photo and asked him if he would sign it for a fellow left
4 dead fan. I said I preferred L4d2 and said oh yeah, who doesn't? He thought for a moment
then scribbled on the pic.. funny stuff below if ur a fan of the game. Then I got him to
sign the drawing my lovely friend Trish had drawn for me. He loved the drawing trish!
Then hubby had to go and say' Did she tell you she came to chicago to see you right after our
honeymoon.' *dies and turns bright red* Michael looked at me and said, 'noooo, she neglected
to mention that!' LOL!! We shook his hand and told him thank you and by. Here are my first
day's autographs..
The photoshoot with Michael was shortly after this and while nothing really major happened, michael said
"Hello again" when I walked up for my turn for the camer.
LOL he said that everytime he saw me. I got a very sweet pic though!
We also went to the Stargate panel again that night. If you wonder why I have bad pix of Michael
and Lexa, blame Jason Momoa and Ben Browder. Those two goofballs came on before everyone else and
ran around changing all the name tags! I"m fairly certain Michael and Lexa's cards were on my
side of the stage before they did that! Lots of funny things in the panel. Lexa "got upset" with
something Michael said at one point and went to the other side of the stage. Poor girl missed her
seat and went into the floor. She looked like she fell pretty hard. Then Paul Mcgillion the ever
gentlemen disappeared behind the table down after her LOL! Michael didn't even ask what was
going on or if she was alright, he just looked over like "what the heck are you guys doing?"
Very funny. Momoa walked off stage at another point in mock anger. I think he was pretty
drunk LOL.
Ok that's all I can take for today. I'm sorry but I will have to finish up sunday tommorow!
More stargate, michael, corin, paul ect. and more fun later!!
