(a brief history)
Physics Macaw started when we saw this picture and deduced that it was a drunken MIT-era Jacob getting into fights with birds:
We spent a long time trying to come up with a name for the beast...
ARCHIMEDES?
ALBERT?
HIERONYMUS?
HEISENBERG?
MAXWELL?
SEVEN?
they should call it threefourteen, like pi
Mr. Higgs, boson for short
...until we realized that really, there is no better name than Physics Macaw for something that is actually a cockatoo. (A sulphur-crested cockatoo. FORESHADOWING??!?) The shenanigans continued as we imagined conversations Jacob would likely have with a bird while at least one of them was wasted:
