You recall that back in the wee beginnings of the year, Nashville received a snowstorm of epic proportions. Roads were closed for days and sledding conditions were prime. We dealt with it.
Then the weather went through puberty and got all schizoid, unable to decide if it wanted to be hot in February, or maybe freezing in April, or maybe a little of both and some other bizarre patterns thrown in. We dealt with it.
Then May hit us, and not in a good friendly slap on the back kind of way. No, May came up from behind and sucker punched us right in the gut. We have gotten a record 13+ inches of rainfall in the past two days. The lake has risen several feet, Mill Creek has flooded its banks, Percy Priest Dam opened the floodgates, 8 people have died, and Interstate 24 is an impassable river. Literally. There was news footage that included a mobile home floating down the highway, then getting hit with a floating truck and disintegrating.
Add all this to other disasters happening around the world (earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, fires, storms, etc) and it's clearly coming up on Judgement Day. Everyone hunker down and get your rock salt.
