What the hell is wrong with this country?
It is the year two-thousand and eight. Haven't we grown beyond the times of intolerance and bigotry? Shouldn't we be better than our simple-minded ancestors? Shouldn't we be in a place in human history where we love and cherish all people for who they are, and not segregate and demean an entire nation of people based merely on WHO THEY LOVE?
How could we be living in this world and still find it okay to tell people they are wrong for loving a member of their own gender? How can we be living in the most powerful and supposedly forward thinking country in the world and still believe that it is better for innocent children to be left forgotten and alone in the foster system then allow them to go to a loving gay family?
Today, I am disgusted with this country.
