I have always wanted to see a film of The Masqueraders. I think if you could pull off the deception at the beginning it would make for a fabulous visual story.

It would be lovely. I've heard some radio adaptations and they're always such fun.

I know why doesn't Andrew Davies tackle Georgette Heyer! I will join in for this book discussion too. Can't find my copy yet though which makes me think it's in London! Also why not Miss Silver Mystery series instead of endlessly redoing Miss Marple (and messing them up!)?

No, no! *clasps Heyer novels tightly to her chest and eyes Andrew Davies threateningly* Anything would be better than that. Even fading gently into oblivion.

Oh LOL! I've loved his P&P and Wives and Daughters and Dickens, but am (obviously!) not as right-thinking as I should be :)

Well, the thing is that I loved P&P and Wives and Daughters, too. I just sort of hate myself for loving them because really, he does ride roughshod over all the things I love about the books. And with Heyer I can imagine him literally interpreting them as bodice-rippers. *shudders*
