Adam is home!!! yay.
Flying is the way to get places. Being in a car with my parents for hours and hours on end was not good times, but I was glad I went down to Georgia for the Military festivities. On Thursday, they had their "turning blue" ceremony, where they all got the blue cords for their uniforms. Apparently that is a really big deal, showing they completed boot camp and are certified killin' machines or something. I got to put the cord on Adam's uniform, so that was cool. We got to see all the courses he trained on and the shooting ranges and where he lived and all that. Courtney and Conner came that night, so I had some entertainment for the evening. Then the graduation was on friday. They had this crazy demonstration with tanks, colored gas, all kinds of weapons, guys running out of the tanks, through the gas with the weapons. It was sort of neat and sort of horrifiying to watch.
Then we somehow managed to take ELEVEN HOURS to get home. I wanted to gouge my eyeballs out. My parents finlly let me drive when we were about 2 hours from home, so it wasn't so bad after that, but it still wasn't fun.
anyway, im glad he is home and not being tortured anymore.
I did miss five classes during that adventure, so I have a lot of homework to do.
We had to watch something in my sex crimes class today that made me even more sick than the erotic asphyxiation death... This sick bastard child molestor who enjoyed taping it to watch later. Our teacher spared us from watching the worst part, so all we saw was the guy hugging and kissing this 11 year old boy after he had put his clothes back on. I really didn't think i was going to be able to not throw up.
