pan francs, oh how i love thee
so yeah, hi. things are going pretty well out here. ive got my new comp elder
sosa. hes a good missionary. hes a lot quieter than elder fernandez which is
kind of a good thing because i get to talk a little bit more in the lessons and
with our investigators. needless to say, weve been knocking a lot of doors and
contating a good number of referrals, which is honestly a bit of a drag. but
whatevs. the problem is that basically all our investigators have huge
challenges, like marriage, working on sundays, etc etc etc. or their stupid dang
parents wont give them permission to be baptized even though they want to. weve
got three people in that situation and its not cool. not cool at all.
anyway, things are going well. our water has stopped running a little bit
recently which kind of sucks, but its okay. yesterday morning our water and our
electricity was out. how ghetto is that? only in el salvador. but at least we
have water and electricity in our house. thats a plus.
um... its just weird to try to write emails. its like all i do here is... work.
so i only have stories about work and its a little bit boring. jesus cried the
other day after we watched "juntos para siempre", or together forever for your
native english tongues. that movie reminds me of being 4, when i was at church
and i hugged some strangers leg thinking it was dads then i felt totally awkward
and i think im still a little bit scarred because of that experience. but yeah.
taht movie is weird. it totally just reminds me of weird childhood experiences
in all of its crappy late 80´s technology.
ive got one song finished and 3 songs in the oven. the good thing is taht i only
play guitar and write on the designated time on pday, so im not getting
distracted or feeling guilty for breaking rules, cause im not. its pretty much
amazing to play guitar. but yeah. fun stuff.
i honestly dont really think i have much else to say. its almost february. if
booga posts this on my lj, happy birthday christopher hermelin, youre a great
friend and i hope its a good one. and for all the other friends, write me on
www.dearelder.com, unless you want to write me by hand. but nonetheless, write
me! i want to hear from you guys!
