PROM = AMAZING.
Well, the last time I wrote in here was April 6th. Let's catch up, shall we? This entry is pretty much cross-posted in my myspace blog, but I decided to post it for all of you who don't read my blogs there. The rest of you, don't be surprised if you see this entry more than once. Here we go.
********Last Tuesday, We had the spring choral concert, and I hung out with Megan. It was a fun time, even though the singing wasn't the greatest and we were the only altos who could be heard. But whatever. I love Megan, and I love hanging out with her.
That same night, I got my pink RAZR - finally. It's my new baby, and I named her Paulette. Then I changed it to Betsy cause I like that name better, lol. It's a pretty awesome phone, and I took lots of pictures & videos on it so far. I'm afraid that I'm gonna break it or snap it in half one of these days though, lol.
After that, the only thing to look forward to was PROM!!!
It was pretty stressful trying to get everything done for it. Especially my dress dilemma.
After my dress came in and I got my first fitting, the only alteration I needed was darting-in in my breasty area, lol. So the ladies at Place One said to just come back 2 days before prom to get it. At this point, I had finally finished shopping for all my accessories so I think "cool, my dress will be ready & everything's done, and it's all good!" Not the case, lol. I show up the Wednesday before prom and try my dress on. Instead of the dress fitting, it was falling off of my body and seemed a million sizes too big. I was freaking out that it didn't fit and I thought it wasn't going to be ready in time. But in the end, it was, so I freaked for nothing. Best of all, my dress actually fit me. Like a glove. It finally made me excited to go to prom.
Prom day was awesome. I went over Shelly's to get ready. It was a fun time. She did my hair, and Marissa did my toenails & makeup. I was laughing like a sped the whole time Marissa was giving me the pedicure. I'm so ticklish...it reminded me of when Krista told me she couldn't stop laughing when she got one.
After I was done getting ready & had my hair/makeup done, my jewelry & everything on, and was actually TANNNNNN...I must say I looked good, lol. I think it was the best I've ever looked at any formal dance.
We met up at Keri's before & everyone looked amazing. Dan even had a light pink shirt/tie on!!! =D yay lol. After that, we went to Keri's aunt's house for pictures. It was cool cause she has a gazebo and a nice yard and it was pretty there. But I dropped my camera on the way there, and I guess something happened to my memory card and my camera wouldn't work. My mom ended up going to Wal*Mart, bought me a new memory card and brought it to the prom for me. She's such a wonderful Mama Pask.<3
Anyway...the prom was amazing.
All the girls looked beautiful in their dresses. All the guys looked handsome in their tuxedos.
The Waterfront was pretty too, and I liked the deck a lot. It was nice out there, a good place for pictures. Some of my digicam pictures had glares from the sun in them. Especially this one of me, John, and Nikki and it looks like John doesn't have a head at ALL lol.
But we all took LOTSSSSS of pictures & ate dinner and that was kinda yummy & we dancedddddd, of course.
I went back and forth from the deck to the dance floor. I had lovely chats/bonding time with all my dear friends out on the deck, and danced with all my dear friends out on the floor. I love all of them to death.
As for the crownings, Brian Galabinski got prom king. Hahahaha that makes me laugh. BUT SHIHO GOT PROM QUEEN!!! AHHHH YAY FOR SHIHO!!!!!
Most importantly, Dan was actually a very good date. We slow danced every time a slow song came on, and danced normally a few times. I even GRINDED with him, which is weird to say the least, but whatever, lol. We hung out a lot and were all over each other and held hands and...it was nice, lol.
...but I didn't do what everyone wanted me to do. I honestly didn't want to do it. I was afraid about how he was going to react, so I didn't. It doesn't matter though. I have no regrets. I was satisfied with what had already happened. And for once...it actually felt like he wanted to be with me. All the times we were slow dancing, we were so close and cuddled up. That was probably the happiest I've ever been with him. It felt so good, and I wanted to fall asleep in his arms. Yes, I just said that, and I don't even care...lol.
After prom, we rode around in the limo, stopped @ Skateaway, went to eat at TGI Friday's, and a bunch of us slept over Brittany's. It was fun, but I fell asleep kind of early. I was tired.
We woke up, and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I had pancakes with blackberry fruit filling stuff on top. They were really good. I saw grits on the menu for like 89 cents and I laughed. I wanted to order them (with syrup!!) but I didn't. It would have been weird, lol.
After we ate, we went back to Brittany's house, and watched Snowed In, then went to my house and watched Man of La Mancha. Everyone ended up falling asleep since they stayed up all night, so I sat there and watched the entire thing by myself. It made me sad & I miss the play so much.
All in all, prom was amazing. It was everything I hoped and expected it to be, and wouldn't have had it any other way. I love all my friends and the teachers who were there, and I'm going to miss everyone dearly after we graduate. YAY CLASS OF 2006!!!********
School today pretty much sucked, everyone was tired, and had prom withdrawl. But Caberet practice was funnnnn. We practiced & choreographed "Another Op'nin, Another Show" from Kiss Me Kate. I love my part in it, it's so funny. I'm actually excited for the Caberet.
Not much else besides that going on, except for weekend plans.
The last dance (in the courtyard) is Friday night, then Mike's graduation party Saturday, and John & Megan plans Saturday night/into Sunday.
Speaking of which, John & Megan have been such good friends to me. I love you guys to death. =)
