"In case you haven't heard...."
I was organizing a stack of paper this evening when I came across a picture of Boy Who Smile's family. I had completely forgotten I had said picture.
I carted it upstairs to show Johanna, who immediately said, "Burn it!"
I took it downstairs to show Beth, who also immediately said, "Burn it!" although hers was said with much more violence in her voice.
Although amusing, and a great excuse to sing Taylor's song Picture to Burn, I'm not mad enough (or at all) to burn it, and I feel moderately guilty throwing it away. Maybe if it was some random family, but I know this family. Granted, I think they're crazy, but even crazy people deserve to have nice pictures!
What will probably end up happening is I'll stick it in another pile of papers and forget about it for five years. Maybe by then I won't feel so dang guilty...
On a related note, does anyone else feel the flames of eternal damnation at the thought of tossing Pass Along Cards, especially if they sport a picture of Jesus? I just can't bring myself to do it.
