Pro to spontaneously losing ten pounds: I can wear my hot jeans (christened by someone else) again.
Con to spontaneously losing ten pounds: I spontaneously lost ten pounds.
Okay, so maybe "spontaneously" isn't the correct word, but I like it, and, as previously stated, this is my journal, so I say whatever I want to.
I had the best day EVER with my demon child. I put him on a contract and told him that for every period he got a 1 (1 meant he was good; 2 means he got warnings; 3 means he was an unholy nightmare), at the end of the day he gets one minute of free time on the computer (he can earn up to 10 minutes). Now this child LOVES the computer. His life goal, I kid you not, is to buy a computer and play video games all the time in his apartment. So, at least for today, he worked really hard to be the perfect child. I didn't have to tell him once to stop fidgeting or pay attention of stop being mean or do his work. He was completely on task ALL DAY LONG. He even willingly did his not-quite-finished punishments from previous infractions!
So, at least for today, all is well.
I hope tomorrow all is well, too, especially since I have to go to Teacher Training of Doom and won't be there.
Of course, this is also the kid who needs new discipline strategies/interventions/whathaveyou every few weeks, because nothing lasts.... But at least today was good! I will rejoice in that! Hallelujah!
And now I eat.
