Work has kept me busy but I'm also putting it off for quite sometime. So here goes:
I failed in my master's thesis and that meant I'm not going to graduate. Why? Because according to the 2 panel members that failed me I didn't follow their feedback/recommendations. I provided the reasons why I didn't but I guess that didn't help.

A lot has happened since I last logged in LJ so forgive the delayed post.

I didn't march on January as I ended up lagging behind in submitting the written manuscript of my thesis. This coming Saturday, my adviser and I would be speaking with the panel members one by one to finally explain to them about the revisions on my paper.

Preparing for my final defense which would be scheduled on May 15. It’s still sinking in that I’m on my last defense. This is a crucial time for me because this is where 5 people will decide whether I graduate or not (I am past caring about graduating with honors).

I know, I hardly log in LJ anymore thanks to real life stuff as well as getting distracted by the Sims 2 and 3 (Island Paradise rocks but I need to get better hardware if I don’t want the game to freeze on me).

Two days ago, I started with the laboratory work for my thesis, which involves me and a furnace. Yesterday, due to my impatience I decided to have about 350 grams worth of bamboo plant parts ashed in the furnace. The result was something I would never repeat for the entire duration of my thesis project.

My defense aka proposal evaluation has ended earlier this morning and as expected I got a lot of corrections. It’s fine, that means they’re really helpful especially my adviser and a former professor during my early years in grad school. Heck, everyone was helpful even the dean. My defense was rescheduled for the 3rd time and it’s going to be on November 12. I’m going to pray hard that this is going to be the final date or I will start finding the window of the dean’s office very appealing (it’s located on the fourth floor of the natural sciences building).
