Merry Christmas to everyone. Let’s hope we don’t forget the actual meaning of this season, that it is not limited to buying gifts, giving gifts, receiving gifts or eating tons of food or bickering at one another during cooking.
We have a good reason to celebrate and that is because Jesus is born to save us from death and sin.
So have a happy holidays regardless what religion/denomination you belong to.
On to my life….
I’m on leave today but vacation started early for me because I lost my voice on Monday and was sent home from work one hour before I get off my shift. It was ironic but given how I could hardly talk I didn’t see the humor then and was just too relieved to go home.
Now I am making my fruit salad and tomorrow I’ll be cooking pasta, go to church with my family for the midnight mass and by Christmas day would be expecting some friends over.
I usually go to Manila but since I am sick at the same time I am not in the mood to deal with brats I told my brother I would not be going down for the holidays with the reason on how uncertain my work schedule was….it WAS true in a way.
And thanks to a friend and former colleague I would have more choices by 2011…I still need my call center job to supplement my expenses in graduate school and if things go well I might be quitting by February.
Come 2011, I would be turning my back on everything and everyone, especially to those who had caused me grief.
