Are you Calzona fan from mind or from heart? (this is for CALZONA fans ONLY)

Ok so I have been off for a qute a while. because mostly I was sad because of Sara's absence in season 13 & so practically I have nothing to post for Calzona. Now almost from the begining of Season 13 we know that Arizona is gonna get a new love interest & that honestly it brings me to post this. I don't know if anoyone still visit this site but

While I understand everything you said before...I kind of feel the need to defend Sara a little here.

As per information I have till now, I don't think it was Sara's intention to break Calzona by taking a break...I think she was in the show for continuous 10 years and needed a break & ofc now we know she had some other agenda in her mind as well (eg. production of the film, LGBT & all), so she needed some time for herself.
Let's be honest no one knows when Grey's will end & let's face it if you want a break one have to justify your absence by sending you somewhere and not killing your character off & NY was the best opportunity for Callie to give Sara a break. So she took it. While personally I believe she have all the indication of coming back, I worry when/if she comes back there still will be any Calzona or not. The fans who are rooting for the new girl with Arizona may have temporary intention for them but if it gets encouraged like that & the writers decide to change the SL in favor of the new couple, that can put Calzona on risk and it can backfire for the realistic Calzona fans (ofc if they will still be calzona fan then).

No doubt I believe that she needed a break to focus on other things that she was passionate about that she maybe wouldn't have had enough time for if she was still on the show. And possibly dealing with being bisexual and not wanting her identify to correlate with Callie is understandable also.

So putting her in NYC with Penny and Sofia definitely lessened the blow when she left. I'll always love Callie as a character and would be thrilled if she came back, but that's a big if. And like you said, would there be anything for her to necessarily come back to, if the new love interest for Arizona is actually well received?

From what I've seen so far, and not sure if I'm right because I'm not on twitter or social media, people are rooting for this new girl. Or maybe they're just rooting for somebody to pair Arizona with lol. She's been alone long enough, and Callie had her turn with Penny, and now it's time for Arizona.

If Callie did return, it would seem very flat. Like, why now, or for what? Everyone else in the cast is pretty much in their own little SL's. The only purpose that would hold any value would be to win Arizona back. But if she's in this new relationship, and the fans are actually loving them, what then? Either way, a fandom will not be happy, unfortunately again lol.

Well it won't be the Calzona fandom then.....if someone thinks at some point they can switch to another couple and like them as much or more than Calzona, even when both Callie and Arizona are present on the show, how come they are dedicated Calzona fans! & as I said I was only talking about dedicated Calzona fandoms!

I don't blame anyone though, it's their choice who they wants to like or root for really.
