I also think this was the ep that let us (the viewers) SEE that Justin was realizing that he was still in love with Brian and while he was still not admitting it, he was less willing to fight it.

Those two and their complete awareness of each other. No one can deny that. That closing scene was a lot of things. It was also hot and so erotic. The door remaining open also was symbolic.

Powerful scene.

Thanks for that lovely picspam. I so agree with your comment about this being the turning point where Brian actively interferes with J/E. I think that is so well put. Also, Justin is coming to the realization that he still loves Brian.
And the sexy walk and shot of that ass certainly enhances the viewing pleasure!

I'm so glad you enoyed the picspam. so agree with your comment about this being the turning point where Brian actively interferes with J/E. I think that is so well put. Also, Justin is coming to the realization that he still loves Brian. Oh yeah. And Justin. Sweet Justin really made me proud. Although I wasn't surprised. This is after all the same young man who fought for Brian in S1 with Kip.

Can I just say that the actress playing Joan is AMAZING! The scenes she has with Gale is pure poetry. Not nice poetry - but still...

I agree, Ai. Every episode that she did with Gale was awesome. I loved her getting after him during mass, brings back memories.

I also agree completely. I personally always found her character fascinating and I think her acting was some of the very best on the show. She was incredibly, coldly convincing.

That last scene, when Justin puts the bracelet back on, his touch lingers overlong. They both feel it, that "thing" that they have. It's not gone. Brian knows it, and so does Justin. And so it begins.

I know. That is so hot. The emotions are so close, so palpable. Just goes to show, they didn't even need their clothes off to make a scene erotic.

Know what my other fave scene is in that arc? Justin sitting at the bar in Woody's, after catching Ethan in Harrisburg. The look on his face is actually worse than the look from 307. It was the first hit. And Justin was still so young, you know it? He may have wanted Brian back by then (you know he did), but he wasn't going to be the one to cheat first. And Brian looks at him, and you know he's going "YAY!! The fiddler fucked up, just a matter of time!" But Justin is hurt, and Brian just has to say something. Cause, dammit, nobody hurts Justin like that (cept him, but he's working on that). But that scene kills me, because Justin can barely look Brian in the eye, and his face looks so young and so little-boy-lost. Plus, it don't hurt that they're playing Sola Sistim.It hurts to see Justin hurting. And it only got worse with the scene in Ethan's apartment with the shredding of the flowers. Jesus...Justin hurt so much but man did he come back to life. It was like he was sleep walking for so much of the first part of the season. But when ( ... )
