That there is good Sark/Sydney fic out there. Shiny, stylistically superb, and new (at least, to me). I've never read this author's work before and I'm ashamed to admit that I dared not read it too closely because I'm currently writing fic and there is a danger of becoming so jealous of others' talent that one becomes entirely blocked. However, I ( Read more... )

Brilliant rec. Crisp as autumn leaves.
Thanks for that!

Sorry you are ill. Hope you feel better soon.

You're welcome. I enjoy spreading the wealth.
Thanks for the well-wishes about my health. I'm drinking a lot of soup and taking it easy.
By the way, welcome to my LJ and thank you for the lovely email you sent me recently. I'll respond as soon as I can formulate a coherent and appropriately appreciative reply. :)

You're quite welcome.
I was speechless with delight (and envy) when I did a (shamefully) quick read-through of your story. It was marvelous.

Yes, I noticed you left feedback to the_grynne, brava. :) It really takes a remarkable fic these days for me to attempt to read it in even a cursory fashion. I have a stack of books nearly knee-high next to my desk that I want to read. So many books, so little time.*g*

I usually read what I get my hands on and that sound interesting. I usually don't read much books, every now and then there will be something I would be interested in and I will pick up and read and of course the books I have to read for school but thats about it.

Sorry about your feeling poorly. Try and eat only rice and toast for a few days and you'll soon get an appetite for other things. It works for me.´

And the grynne is a wonderful writer, you should have a look into her other Alias fic, it's fabulous and to the point.:)

Wrestling indeed. Right now, I am losing; Complicity chapter 34 has me in a horrible stranglehold and I'm trying desperately to extricate myself. I don't want to call it a block, it's more of a test of endurance in making sure that my plotting is not faulty while still balancing the plot with character interaction. The cast of the story, as I'm sure you've noticed, has swelled with original characters all over the place and they are all demanding that I creat little secondary storylines for them instead of focusing just on Sark/Sydney. Problematic little buggers.

Anyway, I'm hoping to have at least a couple of new chapters by the time you return from your trip.

Thanks for the advice; I really must try rice and toast. Right now the idea of solid food turns my stomach.

Untangling characters can be a chore, I know. I remember when I first read War and Peace ending up drawing up a huge reference chart of the various dramatis personae.

Rice and toast are the most bland and boring foods I know, but they will stay down.;)And avoid dairy products at all costs, they're bound to wreck havoc. But as long as you drink (tea, water, Coke, yes Coke), you'll be fine.
