How to stop being dumb
James 1: 5,6
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
Have you ever done anything really dumb? Are you like me in that you feel that a dumb mistake could be just around the corner, considering past history? I am very motivated to stop making poor choices. I have asked for wisdom before, but not enough times. I am asking today and making a mental note to make it a regular habit to ask for wisdom every day. The root of dumbness is to not ask the Lord for wisdom. I'm cutting off the root by asking sincerely and not just lightly for wisdom. I'm planting the seed of wisdom in the place of dumbness. I'm not ready to face all my challenges without wisdom from the Lord. Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I ask you for wisdom today. Guide all my choices. Amen
