I must admit I feel bad when I don't reply to comments, but I like seeing what other people have said when I open LJ, not seeing all my replies. So sorry for when I'm questioned and don't answer. I've also been crap at commenting lately for some reason...
Derek's now a development coordinator at the David Suzuki Foundation*! Today's his third day, but he's been very unresponsive to my prying for details, so I don't know much about what he does yet. I know the general gist is to make sure their monthly donors are happy. He only has to work four days a week and still makes more than he used to (and twice what I make hourly), plus gets a lot of good benefits, so I'm very excited for him and also completely jealous. I like my job, but I'd love to be treated that well too.
Now I have to go work on the picture book I'm writing because our store desperately needs a good twins book, so the sooner I can get it published, the sooner we can sell it.
*It's an environmental org founded by David Suzuki, who's huge in Canada because he was all fired up about climate change etc. before everyone else. That's a crap definition, but since I didn't grow up here I don't know much about him. I'm sure that will change soon.
