So I have seen my sister more this week-last week. Yeah, first we went to Costco, where I should have taken out a little bit more cash, but did alright w/my 2 Kirkland pastas, a big bag of 18 burger patties and a roasted garlic/sea salt mahi mahi box. Then a few days later, we went to the beach ( this time, I only had to walk 1.6 miles up to their Pop Up ( better than to their house for Costco, that was almost 4 miles! Got there in an hour and 10 mins)....
I have gotten a really good white sauce for my pastas ( & a crappy NOT marinara variation, but spaghetti sauce, recycling the jar and at least it was only $1.50) and my sister is supposed to come by today to get my leftover sauce since she wants to try it. I picked up a Target tortellini for $3 and am really excited to see if I can make a cup/night and pair it w/the Great Value 5 Cheese Texas Toast ($1.57 for 8) so dinner will be $.80/night or something...I am really going to try hard to eat my top table stuff after I finish off the freezer, but well we have had several cops get fired due to them not getting vaccinated, firefighters are next and well, it might hit truck drivers too, might just stock up every few wks once I get to pantry stuff..I love that I got a Krusteaz pancake at Walmart for $6 for 40 servings of 3 pancakes each, so $.20/servings? My Poorman's potatoes turned out really good btw and came out to $2/serving and I love if worst comes to worst, can always make cheese quesadillas, PBnJ and rice and veggies work..doing my taco seasoned rice and beans soon and if good, will be a cheap, nutritious meal.
I hope my buying a non stick frying pan helps my hashbrowns cook and get brown before adding it eggs/Spam tomorrow as my attempt last week, while still tasted good, didn't brown but was sticking even tho fire wasn't high..
I foolishy believed the 'in stock' at my Hilo Walmart & free pick up of Augason Farms 48 Hour 4 person kit for $25...went there, just saw the stupid Red Cross 72 hour red backpacks w/the MREs were still the only Kit available, asked the worker if this is here, and he said no we don't carry that...went home, emailed the company and they said they have NO WAY of knowing which Walmarts carry their products, or if they will start and to tell the Manager if I want them to start carrying the items. Just like how my Walmart DOESN'T carry Keystone canned meats due to ALREADY having the Great Value/Swanson meats, I know they won't also offer more than 1 Emergency kit.
I almost ordered My Patriot Supply's 72 hour kit cuz it was on sale for $19.99 but then throw in shipping and it came out to $39.99, so yeah, remove item from cart.....I was really close to buying HSN's offer of Augason Farms Moo's Milk for $40 for one can of the milk and the chocolate milk...yeah, a jug of chocolate milk was $7.56 here, a 20 oz powder mix was $6 and a half gallon of milk is $5..will get a gallon when I am eating my waffles/pancakes and am using it for recovery drinks w/either the really good generic Hershey's syrup ( Essential Everyday, Signature or maybe even Great Value tastes good) or getting a semi cheap can mix..
I was really pissed at my landlady last week..her WiFi went out and I tried to drop the box off per her asking me at the location down the road to find out they moved to the shopping center up the road. Didn't find it ( thought it was IN the strip malls ( there's 2 levels, an Upper then a ramp road leads down to the Lower Level), it was behind one and all the way in the corner), wasted 2 hrs doing that and then when she came by, picked it up and got a new one; had wanted me to set it up.
I was running into problems bc they were telling her it was activated AND reset, when it wasn't bc everytime I tried to connect, it was taking me to an activation page of her Spectrum crap and idk if she thought I was lying or what, but I was close to telling her off ( esp w/her texts of why is doing that, it doesn't have anything to do w/Spectrum and why if not online, how am I to connect?)...thankfully, it rebooted an hour later and haven't had any issues..
I have applied for a few jobs lately ( restaurant up the road, Jack in the Box and Goodwill)..Jack in the Box has really bad employee reviews of hard to know your schedule, they make you work a day shift, then a night, and then one day off and 2 day and 2 night shifts in a row, no breaks if working at night, etc so I don't think I will do an interview there after all ( they called)..
I went to the 'deposition' today.....that didn't happen! I was waiting at my house, 20 mins went by and no call, no Zoom email info and no Notary showing up.. Guess if the records AREN'T released by the hospital by today AND/OR the Insurance still denies it, THEN it goes to a deposition or hearing. The ball is in my former work's Insurance court now as they can either accept compensating me or have a hearing is what I deduced from my call to the Dept of Labor after my failed attempt to go to the building where I thought the Notary was ( just to be told oh we don't know anything about this and are just seeing this subpoena today from me AND not from the Insurance)....
Yeah, the Director told me basically every medical place got this as the Insurance thinks I was 'shopping around' despite them telling me to go to HMC, which is where I went & they said my arm was burned. If I don't get paperwork or a call from the Insurance after a while, then I am to call them and find out what happened..
Plans this weekend are trying a new to me restaurant after going to a State park (* might* even bike there!)...tried to get a discounted Sunday paper the weekend before last, but 3 stores later, decided to just pay the $1.75 this past weekend and got some really good coupons/deals! 2 Spams $1 off ending in October so wait a while on that, a saimin bowl at Long's is just $1.50-$2 depending of if I get the 6" or the 7" and a Taco Bell coupon of a free medium drink once I spend $6 on food, like their yummy chicken nachos maybe...
See what I meant by there's a lot of open space in my 4Patriots container bin??? I got my replacement order btw...trying the meats later, maybe in a Hamburger Helper if I taste it and like it..I got a bunch of drinks ( 2 6 packs of juice cans and behind that, are 2 12 packs of Sam's Cola, which is being covered up by the Texas Toast....hmm, not having HUGE canning shortages/lids issues HERE!
