So Monday was a bunch of keto talk w/ NSG. Things like fave keto dishes, tracking macros, keeping eating sugars and carbs low, keto delivery meal box services being too much, keto is too restrictive and w/ our job, we need some carbs and sugars throughout the week so keto 4 days/week is a good fit, I only weigh 130 ( need to check how much of that is muscle and fat ( probably under 10% on the ladder, close to 7-8% I bet) so I don't want to lose too much 'weight' anyways, testing out healthy baking tips by baking some things Paleo and getting workouts in too.
Talked w/ R a lot about her fitness endeavors for this month/ next year. She surprisingly joined a gym w/ a nutrition program. I don't know much about it except she has to bust her ass within 5 wks to get her $500 back!?! Hope it's not a scam and she can do it! She is cutting back on soda and snacking. She says she only really does this stuff at work due to boredom. I said if you're bored or feel hungry right after lunch, drink water.
I mentioned trying to incorporate healthy items in our diet slowly throughout the week, like 1 day chicken sandwich, next day try lentil pasta, try NutThins as a snack ( we both LOVED my Cheddar Cheese flavor ), day 3 do a meatloaf, day 4 maybe add some mashed cauliflower to your meal of tenders or cheeseburgers. Maybe swap Mac and cheese for whole grain Mac and cheese...I said if you do TOO much healthy food in 1 shot, say Mio all day, NutThins and cauliflower mashed w/ turkey dogs, might cause you to get headaches or feel off like I did 1 day. She doesn't cook though so she will have to rely on Healthy Choice meals I guess.
My kettlebell and most of my snacks came yesterday ( including my keto approved beef sticks, it has under 500 mg of sodium, 12g of fat, 5g of protein and only 4g of carbs and 1g of sugar/ stick! My journal and protein bars should come today. If my journal doesn't span a year, I found 4 really awesome ones and I might get a fitness inspirational calendar too. I was hoping to find a plank app where you do a new plank everyday but it's only for Smartphones.
I did however, find 1 that does 6 plank variations/ day so I am going to try that out today after errands downtown and Christmas tree buying. I might try for a light dumbbell/ moderate dumbbell workout this weekend w/ NTC. I downloaded an app for tracking macros in case I need help w/ the math and % and crap. Told R and NSG, I won't go Uber strict to finding out calories/ fat in my 6 M&Ms or what's the breakdown of my ketchup haha!
Tomorrow will be keto Day 3. I bet Bob will be behind my keto diet once I tell him Alicia Vikander and Halle Berry are doing it hehe..
