"We were planning on leaving tomorrow morning anyway." Aust, the half-elf, tosses his hair in a fashion that only videogame characters can and asserts impatiently, "So it would be nice to have an answer now."

Carden looks disturbed by his companion's rudeness, and Darmer cowers even more, apparently having the idea that the group before him might take offense and attack him. Even so, it appears that Darmer doesn't think they look like unfriendly folk.

Helgass coughs dramatically, "I, Sir Lyman Helgass, am prepared to give that answer, then! My group of warriors will be glad for the challenge of protecting your pilgrims." He beams and strikes a heroic pose, fully enjoying his attempt at playing leader without bothering to discuss with his group.

It's not an opportunity that Carden is about to let slip by; "Excellent," he smiles. "We're leaving at noon and meeting in the town square by the elephant tree, which should give you a few hours yet. We'll be in a large covered wagon." He waves and turns off to tell the members of his party who are at his table the good news with a cheerful, "See you!" thrown over his shoulder. Darmer, looking very much relieved, scampers along behind him, and Aust follows in a slower, more stately walk.

"Well, that was..." Dru searches for the word as Athena preens in a slightly irritated manner that mirrors her owner's. "Whatever," she gives up after a few moments of exasperation, "at least we'll get some pay out of it, and it's a group to travel with."

"Yes!" Helgass' gung-ho smile just manages to eclipse Dru's eye-rolling. "To our rooms! We must prepare for our mission!" You all head up to your rooms to gather your things for a visit with Fendil's father--Morris chooses Fonkin's shoulder as a perch.
