“Hm.” Kai considers the offer, thinking that the party is conveniently headed for Glory in any case, and he knows that certain other members of his group would not be averse to earning some extra cash. He eyes the three facing them, wishing he could read beneath their surface expressions. The youngest one - Darmer - is the most open and sincere, and though he appears agitated, it doesn’t seem to stem from the concealment of ulterior motives. At least, Kai thinks not… The half-elf sets him on edge, though that could merely be his cross expression.
“We have a visit to make first, before we can think about leaving,” he puts in, as he is most eager to meet the town druid in the hopes of digging up more information. “But I can assure you, we’ll discuss it amongst ourselves this afternoon and try to have an answer for you as soon as possible.” He smiles at the three, trying to cast a soothing glance at the nervous teen. Perhaps, if anything is amiss, he could be persuaded to inform the group before they make their final decision.
