Paris: the city of carousels and churches

Dec 18, 2004 20:32

So, I'm sitting at the internet cafe with my friend Ruby who is being so annoying right now because she won't stop reading over my shoulder (damn you ruby!)..hehe. Paris is soo beautiful. Honestly, it can't even be described. But I'll try. It's very dense...and the buildings are pretty short compared to ones in the US. They can't be taller than the Eiffel Tower (well there was one that was as tall I think but the French hated it so they made this rule). There are churches and carousels everywhere! Honestly, it's strange to see the churches because France is so secular now. I have to remember that it didn't used to be that way. And what's with the Carousels? Maybe it's a Christmas thing...beautiful but man, there must be one pony for every Parisien...lol. The Eiffel Tower is amazing...better at night than during the day...pictures later. We went to the Centre George Pompidou today, basically a modern art museum. I found out I could take my old computer, put a cool screen saver on it and sell it to a museum. Screw this doctor shit, riches by art here I come! LOL! Ok, my time is about up so I will write more later. Enjoy your day everyone (considering it's only afternoon back home!)
