FREE !
This is a fun city! Not a "No Fun City"! Take a hint Vancouver!!! I just spent the evening watching a FREE orchestra performance in the park while drinking wine and eating cheese. Tomorrow I plan on going to one of the many FREE museums to check out some art exhibits and then I'm going to watch the FREE acts that they have being performed throughout the city. Perhaps, I'll go to the huge botanical gardens for FREE. They have soooo much stuff to do around the city. Granted, not always free. Tonnes of outdoor patio cafes and outdoor movies and stuff and cheap and good shopping.
Also, everyone here knows vividly about Vancouver. They have a relative or they visited it before or they were planning on living there. "Beautiful place!" they always say. I nod my head with agreement and then ask for another Tim Tam.
