In-suite Laundry and Rainbow Kids

We are off the hook for having to pay for our next months rent. After several visits from random strangers (about 12 different groups) to our house. We think we found the perfect tenants. We brought the applications down to Bea's apartment to do the reference checks. Hopefully that works out. Janine (pronounced Sha-nin) who works for the Vancouver Fruit Tree program and Darin, a geologist. Nice, but most importantly, they don't have pets!!! We really liked this trio. A couple named Owen and Lauren. Lauren was a sexual education instructor. She was really cool and Owen had a good vibe. Sarah was really nice and really punctual. But they had an old fat cat! I'm sorry, we said no pets! It's the same thing as vegetarians saying they just eat chicken. Hell, it's an animal! All is well though.

Then today, Guy and I went out looking for the perfect apartment for the 3 of us. It started off slow and I was still upset about turning down the fabulous place on 8th and Waterloo yesterday. I loved it and Chris loved it, but Guy wasn't stoked on it. She offered it to us and we had to turn it down! Regardless, we went looking this morning and the first place we went to we got. It's a great two-level apartment on 5th and Vine. It's sorta like the set up I have now. Except the second level is a two-bedroom suite and washroom rather than a loft and rooftop patio. It'll work out well because there is a lot of noise seperation from the other rooms at this place. It's one block from 4th and all the grocery stores (especially Capers) and it's 5 blocks from the buses on 10th. It's 5 blocks from the beach and the it's great for exploring. It even has a dishwasher, in-suite laundry, a working fireplace and two balconies. The great part is that with ammenities we pay less than $500. I think that area is the best part of Kits...and I think that Kits is one of the best areas of Vancouver. Therefore, we did pretty good. Congratulations to us! It's going to be really fun to fix it up! So excited!

Jayme's doing some packing right now...she's leaving in 8 days. That's so ridiculous. This apartment is going to feel mighty empty soon. I guess that gives me valuable time to work on my biz!

I work tomorrow at Chris's work sending out invoices and doing some paper pushing. It's going to be nice to have some money. It's just the one day a week right now. It'll help and the rest of the time can be put towards the biz.

Chris did the AV for a conference on healing. Adam was speaking. My grandma would have loved to have been there. Rainbow kids, I think they are called!
