I asked to be laid off from GardenWorks at the end of November. I've been living it up unemployment style this month! It's great!!! What an underrated choice! I haven't been totally free of duties though. I'm starting an urban container gardening business w/ my friend Brian for the beginning of March 2006. He's heading to Vietnam on Sunday. We are going to create a website to sell containters over the internet. Do you do graphics or programming? My friend Mitch and I are actually collaborating on the site right now. He does programming so we don't really have anyone for the graphics part of it. We actually were able to get patiogreenscapes.com too! Very exciting!

I'm a lot stronger on the programming than design. see: http://imago.alethe.ent/ -- Woot on the name. :)

I wish I could invest J, but I have no money. When I get a job teaching, I'll come back in time and help you out.

Thanks Niki! I'd take your money too!!! I'll be sure to ask you for money when you get your teacher position, even if I don't need investors!

Haha, I'm looking for other work, so I'd be psyched to be hired.
I've just been thinking a-lot about landscape architecture lately...specificly gardening in tiny spaces. This past summer
I did a planting in a tiny plot and everybody enjoyed it.

Your project with container gardening DOES sound really exciting!
I've been getting really interested in Ron Herman's work lately...

I wanna' make a tower much like the cascade of cubes he has on his front page...but much smaller, taller, and far more compact. People could enjoy the greenery, but the plants would be protected from
walkers and cars by the steel planters.

p.s. if you need any advice/help on graphic design for your website, feel free to ask. I've been designing professionally for five years for delias.com. I think you guys have a really cool business ahead of you.
