Here I am at work! My first day that I've spent even five minutes of my day purposefully slacking! I hope this isn't the downward slide of my work ethic. "Work, work, work"...it seems that that is all I ever do at WORK! The new Landscape Installation Manager was just hired and worked his first day today. It was pretty amusing...he's 50 and his job was to pick up the plants that I required for a design. I felt so powerful....mwahahahaha!!! Power is a beautiful thing. Alright, the feeling is already gone. I'm in the office by myself right now. Everyone else is out doing "housecalls". Maybe I'll listen to some music loudly!
I got my company van stuck in a ditch yesterday on a narrow street in West Vancouver. The amusing part was that I blocked off traffic for 2.5 hours, until the tow truck company finally saved me. I thought I was going to brain hemorrhage!! A homeowner nearby called the police on me and apparently the police contacted the By-Law officer to check on me for illegal parking. She acknowledged that my van was in park, but I was infact not "parked"! She left me off easy with a warning. As she was standing there talking to me, a strike of red blazed behind her. It was the Mundy's Towing Trunk...it was the most beautiful thing I'd seen in hours! I remember screaming ecstatically and jumping with glee! Earlier that day, I almost got bitten by a rotweiller while I was trying to take a shortcut through a park near my work (beyond my better judgment). It was a dodgy looking park and I should have turned back when I saw the graffiti covered RV parked in the middle of the pathway. But no, I had to keep walking. Then this beast of a dog almost ripped its neck out by its chain while attempting to pierce my flesh! "Retreat, retreat!!". Needless to say, I was late for work. What a day!! Therefore, I will slack today!
....and now I'm off work! Good day all!!!!
