On being Asian

So today my class planned a boycott of our Indonesian oral exam - we would just go in and insist that we didn't know it was today, easy as. Unfortunately this flopped spectacularly because we hadn't fully integrated everyone into 'our class' and the Real Third Years turned up brandishing their scripts... not cool. Sidetracking we call them the Real Third Years because this is actually their third year taking Indonesian, unlike us who skipped the whole of Year 2 Indonesian because we went through seven weeks of summer school. So this is our second year and we're undeservingly taking third year Indonesian. Our inadequacy actually shows. But back to the story, this Real Third Year was so enthusiastic that she actually created a powerpoint presentation for her speech - which part of PIDATO do you not understand? - but anyway she got an extension because the stupid classroom we were in had no AV facilities. Of course this instigated a series of people pretending that they had prepared a powerpoint presentation to accompany their speeches too, and I was one of them. But Ibu Nenen just shook her head at us in disapproval because she knew that we were just fucking around. Or did she? Fast forward to the end of the class where she's called on all my classmates and I'm left violently jittering in my chair because my speech was skimpier than Borat in a mankini. And also because my friends, in spite of said boycott, had actually bothered to Google translate some shit to regurgitate so it actually sounded like they knew what they were talking about. She's totally forgotten about you, Anita giggles on my right; Gemma is hissing for me to stand up and volunteer to start on my speech to shut Ibu Nenen (who was rattling on about something that clearly did not interest us) up. Just then, the class was dismissed, and Ibu Nenen called out for me, Senin depan, membawa flash drive ya? Hells to the yeah. I don't know why she believed only me out of all of us who pretended to have a powerpoint presentation, I wasn't even putting on my best trickery face - I suspect that it's because I'm Asian and Asians don't lie. Usually I would have opted to get it over and done with, but this is a special circumstance. I am such a floozy but a happy one at that! Leaving class I saw a baby bunny hopping around and I smiled to myself, it's turned out to be a good day after all.
