tired and fabulous...exclamation point
I'm not dead, but it will seem like it soon...I just wanted to leave a post before school starts Monday and I have no life. I'm trying to soak up a few more days of mind-numbing boredom, since I'm sure soon I'll be wishing for them. My classes start early every morning and I have to get myself from home to San Francisco before 7am, so I'm in the process of changing my sleep patterns so that when the time comes on Monday morning, my ass will get out of bed at 4:40am. It's not going well at the moment, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.
I've done a pretty good job of getting everything else done so that I can focus on school once it starts...my Christmas shopping is all done and wrapped, the house is clean for expected family arrival next week (my mom turns 60!), and I'm as organized as possible.
I'm a little worried about how Hunter is going to react to me not being at home...he's had a nice cushy life indoors all day since I got home in August and now he's got to spend his days outside again...and the rains are coming. Oh well...I'm sure I can ply him with enough treats that he won't hate me.
You haven't missed anything of real excitement...I'm proud to say that the Christmas presents I'm receiving this year are averaging around $250...not sure how I pulled that off, but I'm not complaining. I'm sad to admit I found out that my Target truly is a "Tar-ghetto" when I was propositioned by a young man while walking into the store...details aren't necessary, but I will say that it was one of the dirtiest conversations I've ever had in the daylight...it threw me off enough that I got totally turned around in the store and while I was shopping I couldn't decide if I should a)report him to the manager or b)buy the biggest box of condoms they sold and take him home with me.
That's it for me...I'm hoping you'll get a weekend note or two from me between now and July, but I may be too busy to do anything except sleep and bake cake.
