What a year it was! Mark and I feel like we completed the Seven Impossible Tasks, and now we’re sort of looking around, wondering what “normal life” looks like. Hahahhaa.

The year began with us in the middle of our three-month stint as replacement innkeepers at a lovely bed and breakfast on Orcas Island, and newly engaged. Orcas Island was amazing. ( Read more... )

Today is markferrari’s birthday! And a fine birthday it was. We have desperance visiting; and we had scrumptious lunch with davidlevine and kateyule at Pok Pok; and we went to see Life of Pi; and then markferrari napped whilst desperance and I read for a while and then made delicious dinner (I started it, but desperance took over, which means the universe is as it should be); then we played cards and I won this time; ( Read more... )

Busy day around here at the Witchnest, celebrating markferrari’s birthday by doing All The Fun Things.

First we slept in, then slept in some more.

Then we went back to the aquarium store, and got some more cherry shrimp, and two catfish! Two! Fish!

World Fantasy was awesome. And very low on internet-connectedness. Which actually felt kinda good. We were relating to real people in real time. You know, like in the olden days.
